606 Systems works with established service businesses in Chicago and beyond. We advise owners on growth and transitions. We connect sellers with the right operators. And we acquire businesses we believe in. Patient capital, long-term relationships, no commission games.
Every service business owner is somewhere on a spectrum between growing and exiting. We meet you where you are.
Monthly retainer or equity-based partnerships with owners working on sales and business development, pricing, hiring, capital strategy, or getting ready for an eventual sale. Around ten focused hours a month. Engagements built around clear deliverables, not endless meetings.
When an owner is ready to sell and we are not the right buyer, we introduce them to operators in our network. We help structure deals so both sides win, take a minority equity stake on close, and stay involved long enough to support the transition. We support, we do not meddle.
Direct acquisition of established service businesses in the $1M–$3M enterprise value range. SBA-financed with personal guarantee. No flips, no quick exits. We buy businesses we plan to own and improve over many years.
We do not push owners to sell. We do not take broker commissions. When we take equity in a deal, the operator keeps decision authority and a clear path to buy us out whenever they are ready. The business belongs to the person running it.
You built something real. Now you are considering selling, scaling, or stepping back. You want an honest conversation, not a pitch from a broker who disappears after closing.
You are searching for a quality service business to acquire and run. You want to see off-market opportunities and work with a partner who can support sourcing, structure, and transition.
Lenders, advisors, and equity partners working with operators and acquisition entrepreneurs in the lower middle market. We are always interested in connecting with serious capital.
Brokers, attorneys, accountants, business associations, and other professionals serving small business owners across Chicagoland. Referrals work both ways.
606 Systems is run by Kurt Kuzur, an operator and acquisition entrepreneur based in West Town, Chicago.
Kurt spent his career in enterprise sales and business development at Cisco Systems and prior at Accenture, with earlier service in the US Army. He holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
The work of 606 Systems comes from a simple observation: most service business owners are overworked and under-connected. They do not know their options for growth, capital, or exit. The people who do know often have an agenda. 606 Systems exists to be useful, patient, and on the operator side of the table, whether or not we are the one buying.
If you are an owner thinking about what is next, or an operator looking for the right business to run, Kurt would like to hear from you.
Whether you are thinking about selling, looking to grow, searching for a deal, or working in the ecosystem, we would like to hear from you. We respond within one business day.
